Most of the Heartland Quilters met on February 12th and 13th for two days of fun and fellowship while working on individual projects to create more quilts to donate to those in need of spiritual or physical comfort. Thursday morning started with a game to get everyone in a cheerful mood. Then, while the quilters worked on their projects, a professional quilter adjudicated the entries in the 2015 Challenge that were displayed around the room. In the afternoon, she demonstrated how to make pillow cases with French seams. Each quilter made a pillowcase that co-ordinated with her quilt. The next day the quilters were back, working on their quilts and enjoying fellowship, good food, and the satisfaction of working with others for a worthy cause. Sharing helpful hints and ideas contributed to the pleasant atmosphere as did goodie bags, door prizes, and good company.
